Joe DePalma, Sr. is recognized as a hospitality industry leader. He is known extensively for his property workout and turn-around skills. Mr. DePalma has spent the last 25 years as President & CEO of DePalma Hotel Corporation.


brian depalma - VP Operations

As Director of Operations and Project Manager for DePalma, Brian supervises a select group of properties and assists with the troubleshooting and all project management for the company. Degreed in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Texas Tech University. Brian began his career with a number of years of management training with Marriott Corporation.

Brian has an excellent "hands-on" knowledge of daily hotel operations and has accomplished significant successes in improving property image, market share and operating profit.

Brian's specialty lies in rapid analysis of property improvement areas during initial take-over, and immediate implementation of action steps to improve guest service, gross revenues and net profits.

Stacey Smith - Director of Accounting

Stacey Smith has over 10 years' experience in the Hospitality Industry, working with companies such as Tharldson, Marriott, Western International and Nylo Hotels. She is experienced and knowlegeable in all departments from Housekeeping and Maintenance to Front Office and Sales.

While working with Western International she was fully immersed in the Accounting aspect, and was selected to work on numerous “Task Force” missions, helping new and existing hotels with their Accounting Departments, and assisting GM's with their financials. She developed plans that lowered spending, thus increasing the profit margins for the company.

With Nylo Hotels, being a new and upcoming hotel brand, Stacey had the unique opportunity to assist in creating SOP's for the Accounting and Human Resource Departments that have been implemented in their hotels today.

Lori Muggler - ChIEf Operating Officer

During her 23 years in the Hospitality Industry Ms Muggler has acquired extensive experience in all facets of Hotel Management. She has been Chief Operating Officer since 2002. Ms Muggler continues to build upon DePalma's long legacy of success in areas of guest service, revenue improvements and expense controls, and is actively involved in the daily success of each DePalma property

Joe leising - Senior VP Development

Joe Leising brings more that thirty years of development, construction, management and marketing experience to the DePalma group.

Before joining DePalma in 1992, Joe was a General Manager and Vice President of Business Development for the nations largest independent hotel management firm.

Leising's experience ranges from developing and operating major hotel and resort properties to assisting financial institutions and private owners with "work-out" services, financial consulting and operational analysis. He also works with investors and institutions on large hotel and resort properties that require more extensive management services.

Ray Perez - Regional Director
Of Operations

Ray Perez brings 15 years of Hospitality experience to DePalma's executive team. Ray began his career in Food and Beverage in 1989, and moved into sales in 1997, at the Crowne Plaza in Austin, Texas, where he assembled, trained and maintained a remakable sales team, and successfully increased Revpar Yield Index from 86.6% to 114% from 2001-2003. He stepped up to Assistant General Manger of the Hilton Garden Inn in Temple, Texas in 2003. In 2004, he became Area Director of Sales and Marketing for the John Q. Hammons Hotels of Oklahoma City . He joined The Depalma Hotel Corporation Team in 2006, where he was responsible for opening and operating the Sheraton Midwest City Hotel and Conference Center in Oklahoma. While there Ray set up policies and procedure for all operational departments, and was responsible for the hiring, training and development of the operational managers and staff. Ray is currently responsible for all of DePalmas Texas hotels.
