Robert L. Lepore, CHA
EVP of Performance
Mr. Lepore provides over twenty-five years of hospitality management experience to DePalma Hotels. With a Business Administration background from George Washington University, Lepore has developed numerous successful strategies to increase revenues and improve profits. In his current role, he is responsible for the day to day oversight of the DePalma hotel national portfolio with particular emphasis on ensuring performance metrics are achieved.
Lepore’s first management position was at the age of twenty-three and he was the youngest General Manager in the Cendant portfolio of brands. Subsequently, Lepore held senior management positions in a variety of upscale hospitality environments such as the Boston Harbor Hotel--Boston and Doubletree Colonnade—Baltimore. Lepore joined DePalma in 2000 as General Manager of our 245-room convention hotel —The Inn at Reading. In his final year at that hotel, he achieved an impressive 34% increase in REVPAR Index and a significant 62% House Profit increase. In 2002, Lepore was promoted to Regional Vice President for DePalma where he supervised DePalma full and select-service properties in the Northeastern United States as well as maintaining contract development responsibilities. In his development role, Lepore was responsible for project developments in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Texas.
Mr. Lepore returned to DePalma in 2012 after spending three years in General Manager positions at both the Wyndham Miami and Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh where he successfully supported the return of Pittsburgh’s iconic city-center hotel to solvency.
Lepore has routinely served as guest lecturer for the Penn State/Reading Hotel program and Industry Board Adviser for the Penn State Hospitality Management program as well as serving on a multitude of franchisor advisory committees including affiliations with Choice, Wyndham, and Sheraton Hotels.
